dedicated to the blending of contemporary literature and visual arts. Each issue features contemporary writing and
art from Florida and the world, emphasizing our connections to the Tampa Bay region and the international literary
community. Tampa Review is published twice a year in a unique and elegant hardcover format by the University of Tampa Press.
On October 10, 1899, Cuban immigrants formed a recreational society known as El Club Nacional Cubano. Three
years later, the society of three hundred members changed its name to El Círculo Cubano. According to the
1902 charter, the Círculo Cubano was formed "for the mutual benefit and enjoyment of its members". In 1917, the
Cuban Club opened the doors of its current neoclassic
clubhouse at 2010 Avenida República de Cuba in Ybor City. Since then, the Círculo Cubano has provided a
theater, grand ballroom, medical clinic, cantina, gym, and library to its members.
WMNF is a 70,000 watt non-commercial, listener supported community radio station that celebrates local cultural diversity and
is committed to equality, peace and social and economic justice. WMNF provides broadcast and other forums to serve the community
by the exposure and sharing of these values.
The Ybor City Saturday Market features fresh produce, crafts, food and drink, and entertainment every Saturday morning year-round at Centennial Park located at the corner of East Eighth Avenue and North 19th Street in Tampa.
